Each June Howard Electric holds its annual meeting of members. At this yearly meeting, members elect directors and vote on any policies or bylaws that are brought before the membership. Because the cooperative must have a quorum of members to conduct business, it is vitally important that you attend. You will also have an opportunity to ask questions of your board and manager.

This year's annual meeting will be a drive thru format again.

Absentee Voting
May 15th-29th

Approved by the membership at the 2025 Annual Meeting, absentee voting will be open May 15th-29th in our office during normal business hours (8am-4:30pm) Monday - Friday.  We are excited to offer an option for those unable to attend our drive-thru Annual Meeting on June 9th.  

Members voting absentee will receive the $10 bill credit and gift but will not be entered for the Annual Meeting attendance bill credit drawings. In order for the Annual Meeting and the results of the election to be legally valid, we must have a quorum of members (as defined in our bylaws) in attendance. Absentee votes count for the purposes of election but do not count toward establishing quorum.

As a member-owner of the cooperative, your vote matters. Board elections help shape the future of our co-op and the communities we serve. We hope to see you at our Annual Meeting!
